Producing quality products is what NOR is all about — and coffee is the backbone of our brand. These fine beans were harvested, dried and fermented on family farms on the mountainsides of northern Nicaragua. By providing these local, dedicated farmers with the necessary equipment, education, and know how, NOR has enabled them to consistently increase their yields during the last ten years, and considerably heighten the quality of their coffee beans. The result is NOR Specialty Coffee — a balanced, drinkable cup that offers natural flavors of sweet chocolate, a hint of nuts and a refreshing finish of citrus. At NOR, we work harder and smarter to produce sustainable products of the highest quality to the benefit of all. Enjoy!

COFFEE & CHOCOLATE
Our coffees are medium roast. We grow, source and process coffees of the highest quality and roast each coffee with a profile which brings out the best of what’s in the beans.
We do not add any flavorings to our coffee. NOR uses the tasting notes inherent in the coffees to describe the flavours and aromas in each coffee, noticing things like acidity, balance and fullness and body. Flavor are a matter of what you like and what you taste. And we are always happy to help you find the profile which suits you.
Store your coffee in a cool, dark place. The best way to store coffee or chocolate is to store it whole bean in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Do not store thee coffee in a fridge or freezer as the condensation will degradate the product every time you take it out. As a rule of thumb room temperature, 50% humidity, airtight and shady are good ambient qualities for storing coffee.
Coffee also easily absorbs the flavour of things around it. Choose a container to store it in (might want to rethink reusing your chili box), and be mindful that storing near odorous things.
Store your chocolate in the fridge. Chocolate stores well in the fridge, but keep in mind that you wrap it in an airtight plastic container or ziplock so it does not absorb smell and taste from your food items.
Just Sealed! With our sealed bags, we are keep beans on shelves 90 days from the roast date, and we recommend that once the seal is broken, they are consumed in maximum 3 to 4 weeks. Our bags allow for better freshness standards.
All of our coffees, chocoates and other delicious edibles products are direct trade specialties or simply grown by us on our farms. We know what it means to produce and to stand by your partners in thick and thin. We believe in outright proces for upright partners and that is the philosophy that we use in all our value chain from the farms to the roaster to the end customer.
